On Friday, December 7, 2007, Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music broke ground on its rural Nelson, New Hampshire property for the new Hoffman Community Auditorium and Learning Center. Completed in June 2008, the building seats up to 60 people for music performances, events, and workshops.

The Board of Trustees named the new building after benefactors John and Jean Hoffman. John Hoffman’s leadership at Apple Hill spanned six years as president, during which the organization grew dramatically, both financially and programmatically.

This project was made possible through the generous giving of donors and a tax credit award from the New Hampshire Community Development Investment Program, under the auspices of the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority, and the participation of the corporate community, including Bergeron Construction, John G. Burk and Associates, CPAs, P.C., D'Alessio Associates, Kapiloff Insurance, National Grange Mutual, and Northwestern Mutual.

Special thanks go to former board member Juliana Bergeron for her leadership of this initiative and to the Monadnock Economic Development Commission.
